Download and Use Adobe Acrobat to view PDF files

1. Click on the 'Get Acrobat' Button: 

2. Click the 'Save this program to disk' Radio Button and Press OK Button.

3. In the Save As Dialog, choose Desktop from the drop down list at the top of the dialog. Press the Save Button.

4. On your desktop, find the Icon that reads: ar32e30.exe.

5. Double-click the Icon and follow the instructions for installing Adobe Acrobat.   

6. Now that Acrobat has been installed on your computer, anytime you need to read a PDF file, simply clicking on the PDF file link will start the Acrobat application within the Internet Explorer browser. When you are done reading or printing the PDF file, simply click the Back Button on your browser.

Read and Print a PDF File using Adobe Acrobat

After clicking on the link to download a PDF file, the file will be displayed in your Internet Explorer browser as if it were a web page. However, an additional Toolbar appears.

By using the Navigation Toolbar Icons - - you can move forward, backward, to the first page or to the last page.

Using the Magnifying Glass Toolbar Icons - - you can zoom in or out of the view.

Use the Print Button - -to print a copy of the PDF file.

When you are done reading or printing the PDF file, press your browser's BACK Button to return to the web page you had previously been viewing.

Download Internet Explorer

2. Click on the hyperlink that says: 'Download Internet Explorer 5.0' or on the Download Now Button.

3. Click on the hyperlink for the 'Internet Explorer 5.1 and Internet Tools' link under the Operating System that matches the operating system that is on your computer. (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT)

4. Follow the instructions on Microsoft's web page.

5. An Icon will be saved to your Desktop. Find this - - ie5setup.exe icon and double click it to complete installation of Internet Explorer.

1. Click on Tools on the Menu Bar

2. Click the Internet Options menu item

3. Click the General Tab

4. In the Address text entry field, type: http://www.co.charlotte.fl.us

5. Click the OK Button
