Available on microfilm are the old deed books, official record books, and tax rolls.  You may view or obtain an instant plain paper copy from our reader printer for a fee of $1.00 per page and for an additional $2.00 we will certify the document.  We have aperture cards of most of the subdivision and condo plats, which you may view or obtain a copy for $5.00 per page.  We also have plats of Sarasota and Lee County subdivisions which border Charlotte County.

We have public terminals which provide information on all recorded documents as well as images of documents recorded after 1991.

For the convenience of our residents, the Murdock Annex provides most of the same services available in the Justice Center.  Our office records documents into the Official Records.  We collect traffic citation, alimony and support payments.  We process marriage and passport applications.  We perform wedding ceremonies.  We accept documents and filing fees for Tenant Eviction, Dissolution of Marriage, Small Claims, Probate and other Civil and County Court cases.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court’s Murdock Annex is now able to process Domestic Violence Petitions.

We offer courier service between the Charlotte County Justice Center and the Annex for local attorneys, banks and title companies, which saves them time and postage fees.

The Murdock Annex is open to serve the needs of Charlotte County residents from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and provides the same services as the Punta Gorda Clerk's Office.
