Persons wishing to engage in the
business of home solicitation sales as defined in Chapter 501 of the
Florida Statutes, must obtain a Home Solicitor Permit from the Clerk
of the Circuit Court.
All applicants must appear in person.
For your application, you need to bring two (2) recent color
photographs.
The cost of the application is $55.00,
which is non-refundable, payable in U.S. currency, certified check,
cashier's check or money order to Barbara T. Scott, Clerk of the
Circuit Court.
Upon payment of the fee, the applicant
shall complete the application form and swear under oath as to its
accuracy.
The applicant will be given a
fingerprint card which must be taken to the Sheriff's Department,
located at 7474 Utilities Road, Punta Gorda, Florida 33982.
The Sheriff's Department will return
the fingerprint card to the Clerk's Office who will forward it to
the Department of Law Enforcement in Tallahassee for fingerprint
analysis. The Sheriff's Department and the Department of Law
Enforcement have sixty (60) days in which to return the results of
the fingerprint analysis to this office.
When the results of the name search
and fingerprint analysis are received by the Clerk's Office, the
applicant will be notified by telephone or by U.S. Mail to come into
our office in person to sign for and receive the permit.
