Charlotte County Justice Center

When people think of a Justice Center, they often only see it as only a place where trials are held -- nothing more.

But the Charlotte County Justice Center and the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Barbara T. Scott, offer so much more. Between the two, residents can get a marriage license (or even get married, if that's their wish), get a passport, read the tax rolls, read property deeds, examine county commission minutes, get official documents and even read archived documents on microfilm. In fact, as a public trustee, the Clerk of the Circuit Court is required to carry out numerous functions.
