The Court Automation System,
hereinafter referred to as CAS is designed to change the way we
operate. The image-based application allows for unprecedented
efficiencies. Imaging allows multiple users at different locations
rapid access to the same document. Images on the network cannot be
damaged or misplaced and the images can be printed from any local
printer. In order to add signatures to the documents, the CAS has
a proprietary encoding feature that allows a document to be
printed, signed, rescanned and automatically stored with the
original. |
|
Hi Speed Scanning
Feature
Imaging facilities in the CAS application will
dramatically reduce the expense of data entry personnel. Document
control is fast and secure. Paper documents like traffic
citations, driver's licenses, accident reports, fingerprints,
financial documents, bond receipts, arrest warrants or summons are
initially scanned in to create an exact digital image of the
original.
The image is then stored and indexed
electronically to a central database. From this point the
information need not be re-entered. These images are now available
for viewing, printing or batch report process.

Image Viewing Features
Officials have the ability to view all pertinent
information about a defendant real-time from a centralized
location. From a single workstation in the courtroom you may have
access to an individual's demographic information, warrants,
charges, and documents that include an actual image of a citation,
arrest warrant, summons or bond receipt.
Split Screen Display allows for viewing
documents images and civil case information simultaneously. This
is very helpful when initiating case information, court
scheduling, fingerprint identification, inmate recognition, etc.

Document/Image Storage
and Retrieval
The system allows for high-volume storage and
retrieval of documents. The access times are in seconds, and
electronically stored documents can be accessed simultaneously by
multiple system users. As with all data files, image integrity is
guaranteed. During the scanning process, each original is assigned
a unique code. Image integrity is enforced with a proprietary
security routine preventing alteration of original documents. |
