We are pleased that you are interested in employment with the Clerk of the Circuit Court.  It is important to us that you understand how your application/resume will be handled.  The following steps comprise our selection process.

Application Process

To insure that we have consistent information for all candidates, we require that each applicant complete a Clerk of the Circuit Court Application for Employment.  Even though you may have a resume, the application should be fully completed.  The application will only be reviewed for open positions with the Clerk of the Circuit Court.  To apply for a position with the Board of County Commissioners or other constitutional officers, you will need to make direct inquiry with their offices.

Completed applications should be submitted to Employee Relations, Clerk of the Circuit Court, 350 East Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL  33950.

Note:  If claiming Veteran’s Preference, required documentation must be submitted with the application.

In addition, as required by Florida Statute, all information received by application is considered a Public Record, and as such, must be made available to interested parties upon specific request, and will be retained in our files as per State and Federal retention guidelines. 

Review of Qualifications

We will carefully review your qualifications as well as those of all other applicants applying for similar positions.  If you are to receive further consideration, we will contact you.  If you are not contacted, your application will be held in our active files for sixty (60) days.
